Although the Armed Forces of Ukraine operates a dizzying array of mortar systems, the domestic production of indirect fire weapons has moved the state of the art beyond the legacy Soviet-era systems in recent years.
Especially when used in conjunction with the omnipresent reconnaissance drone capability the AFU has in many ways pioneered, Ukrainian mortar teams have proved highly effective at utilizing the wide variety of tubes at their disposal to project death from above.
